What is PositionAlpha?
PositionAlpha is a market intelligence platform for swing and position traders. We combine Commitment of Traders (COT) positioning, multi-decade seasonality, trend regimes, news sentiment, and an optional AI research agent so you can see which factors align before you dig into charts.
Is PositionAlpha free?
Yes. Gold, silver, and crude oil are free assets after you sign in with Google. You can also read all Learn guides, this FAQ, and public market overview pages without an account. Premium unlocks additional markets, news, and the full AI agent.
Do I need an account to browse markets?
Public hub pages — the homepage, /markets, individual market overviews, Learn, and legal pages — are open without signing in. The full dashboard workspace (charts, algo builder, detailed confluence) requires Google sign-in.
What is the COT Score?
The COT Score is PositionAlpha’s summary of weekly CFTC Commitment of Traders positioning. It weights commercial, non-commercial, and small-trader changes into a single reading from roughly −100 to +100 so you can see whether positioning leans bullish or bearish at a glance.
What is Today’s Focus?
Today’s Focus ranks assets by how primary factors — especially COT and seasonality — line up on a given day. Featured markets are not trade recommendations; they are a shortlist for further research inside the platform.
Is this investment advice?
No. PositionAlpha provides market data, analytics, and education only. Momentum Digital LLC is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Futures and commodities trading involves substantial risk of loss. You are solely responsible for your decisions.
How often is COT data updated?
The CFTC publishes Commitment of Traders reports weekly (typically with a short lag). PositionAlpha refreshes COT snapshots after new reports are available and surfaces the as-of date in the app.
What markets do you cover?
We focus on commodities and related markets used by swing traders — including free access to gold, silver, and oil, plus additional Premium markets. Browse /markets for the current directory.

How do cookies and ads work?

Can I use PositionAlpha on mobile?
Yes. The public hub and dashboard are responsive. Some chart and builder workflows are easier on a larger screen, but market overviews and Learn guides work on phones.
